Discover Tanzania through authentic journeys inspired by local knowledge, meaningful cultural connections, and unforgettable adventures. From the endless plains of the Serengeti and the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro to the pristine beaches of Zanzibar, Maasai Way Safaris creates travel experiences that go beyond sightseeing—inviting you to explore the heart, soul, and spirit of Africa.

Before there were roads leading into the Serengeti, before safari vehicles crossed the endless plains, and before millions of travelers discovered Tanzania's natural wonders, these landscapes were already home to communities whose traditions have been passed from one generation to the next.
Among them are the Maasai people, whose deep respect for nature, wildlife, hospitality, and community continues to inspire the way we welcome every traveler.
Maasai Way Safaris was created with a simple vision: to help visitors experience Tanzania not only as tourists, but as welcomed guests discovering the country's landscapes, wildlife, and cultural heritage through local knowledge and genuine hospitality.
Maasai Way Safaris was founded with a clear purpose: to introduce travelers to Tanzania through authentic, carefully crafted experiences that combine professional service with genuine local hospitality. We wanted to create more than tours—we wanted to create journeys that allow visitors to experience the country's natural beauty while also understanding the culture, traditions, and people who make Tanzania truly unique.
Every safari, mountain expedition, cultural visit, and beach holiday we organize is planned with attention to detail and a commitment to quality. From your first inquiry until the final day of your journey, our team works closely with you to ensure every aspect of your experience is seamless, enjoyable, and memorable.
As a locally operated company, we understand Tanzania not only as a destination but as our home. Our guides, travel specialists, and support team bring firsthand knowledge of the country's national parks, mountain trails, local communities, and hidden gems. Their passion is not simply to show you Tanzania—but to help you experience it with meaning and authenticity.
At Maasai Way Safaris, our mission is to create authentic and unforgettable travel experiences that showcase the extraordinary beauty, wildlife, landscapes, and cultural heritage of Tanzania while delivering exceptional service with integrity, professionalism, and genuine local hospitality.

Tourism should create opportunities that benefit the people who call Tanzania home. As a locally operated company, we proudly work alongside local guides, drivers, accommodations, suppliers, artisans, and community partners. By supporting local businesses and creating employment opportunities, we aim to ensure that tourism contributes positively to the economic and social well-being of the communities connected to our journeys.
The extraordinary landscapes and wildlife of Tanzania are among our country's greatest treasures. We believe it is our shared responsibility to help protect these natural resources for future generations. Maasai Way Safaris supports responsible tourism practices that encourage environmental conservation, minimize unnecessary waste, respect wildlife habitats, and promote sustainable travel experiences that leave a positive impact wherever we operate.
Tanzanian hospitality is known around the world for its warmth, kindness, and sincerity. We welcome every traveler not simply as a customer, but as a valued guest. Our goal is to create an atmosphere where visitors feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely cared for throughout every stage of their journey.
We don't just show you the Maasai; we invite you to walk with the guardians of the wild.
Step inside a traditional Boma as a guest, not a spectator. From ancient beadwork to the symbolism of the Red Shuka, discover a culture that has thrived for centuries.
Experience the Moran (warrior) tradition. Learn about the medicinal plants of the highlands and the spiritual connection between the people and the land.
Our guides don't use radios; they read the "newspaper of the bush." Learn to identify the scent of a leopard and the warning calls of the birds.
At Maasai Way Safaris, we believe tourism should create lasting benefits not only for travelers but also for the people, wildlife, and landscapes that make Tanzania one of the world's most extraordinary destinations.
Responsible tourism is at the heart of everything we do. Every journey we organize is designed to respect nature, celebrate local cultures, and contribute positively to the communities that welcome visitors from around the world.
We recognize that Tanzania's incredible national parks, mountains, coastlines, and cultural heritage are treasures that deserve protection for future generations. Wildlife is one of Tanzania's greatest treasures, and protecting it is a responsibility shared by everyone who visits. Our guides follow ethical wildlife viewing practices that prioritize the well-being of animals and their natural habitats. We encourage responsible game viewing, maintain appropriate distances from wildlife, respect park regulations, and avoid behaviors that may disturb animals or damage fragile ecosystems. We believe that every safari should leave nothing behind except unforgettable memories.
Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond wildlife conservation. We encourage environmentally responsible travel by promoting responsible waste disposal, minimizing unnecessary plastic use, respecting protected areas, conserving natural resources wherever possible, and encouraging travelers to leave every destination as beautiful as they found it. Small actions taken collectively can help preserve Tanzania's remarkable landscapes for future generations of travelers and wildlife alike.

Imean LiamVerified 5 day trip with masai way Me and my wife had an amazing 5 days safari with Maasai Way Safaris. From the day we arrived everything was well organised and we didn't have to worry about anything. Our guide was very friendly and always trying his best to find the animals. We was lucky to see the Big Five and many more animals in Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. The lodges was clean, food was good and every day felt different. Tanzania is such a beautiful country and this safari become one of our favorite trips together. Big thanks to the whole Maasai Way team for making our holiday so special. We really recommend them if you are looking for a good local safari company. Asante sana jambo masai Barboba WilliamsVerified Kili & Safari with Maasai Way As a solo female traveler, I was a little nervous before arriving in Tanzania, but Maasai Way made me feel comfortable and supported from the very beginning. I had an incredible experience with Maasai Way. I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 6 days via the Lemosho Route and then continued with a 4-day safari experience afterward. Everything was very well organized from start to finish. A big thank you to the entire Maasai Way team for handling all the arrangements, transfers, and hotels, and for always being available to answer my questions whenever I needed help. The mountain crew was professional, encouraging, and truly caring throughout the climb. Reaching the summit was one of the most emotional and rewarding moments of my life. After the climb, the safari was the perfect way to experience the beauty of Tanzania even more. The landscapes, nature, and overall atmosphere were unforgettable. Local agencies honestly deserve much more credit. Booking directly with a local company gave me a more authentic and personal experience, and I felt very well taken care of during the entire trip. Thank you again to Maasai Way for making this adventure so special. Jambo Masai! Sentil AVerified Incredible 3-day Serengeti & Ngorongoro camping safari experience My boyfriend and I had an amazing time on our safari by Maasai Way. We joined a 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari as a couple, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish and our driver Derick Tillya was best one and having incredibly knowledgeable about animals and the land. He managed to find and get us great views of nearly every animal you could think of in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro. Camping in the parks was also a unique experience. Sleeping close to nature under the African sky was something truly special. The camp setup was comfortable and well organized, and everything we needed was taken care of. The group atmosphere was also great we enjoyed sharing the experience with other travelers, which made the trip even more fun. Overall, this was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and we would highly recommend Maasai way it to any couple looking for a real safari experience in Tanzania.Tripadvisor rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 3 reviews
